OPTIFOAM® GENTLE HEEL is designed to be used as part of a pressure injury prevention protocol and is ideal for partial and full-thickness wounds with drainage.

• Dressing helps manage microclimate and protect heels from friction and shear forces

• Super absorbent core locks in fluid, protecting skin around the wound

• Silicone faced foam & border aids in gentle removal

Directions:

Remove center

release liner from dressing and slide the dressing under the heel.

Position dressing at base of heel (as shown above).

Apply the adherent part of the dressing to the posterior heel

/ Achilles tendon.

Press and smooth dressing throughout to ensure adherence to skin.

To perform skin check: gently release bottom flaps from skin and peel back towards Achilles until enough skin is exposed for skin check.

From he top leg

and right ankle lobes. Apply and smooth.

Remove backing from the bottom Raps. Apply and smooth upward towards malleolus.

NOTE: Do not cut Optifoam® Gentle Heel.

REMOVAL: 1. Gently pull bottom laps to release dressing from skin. 2. Gently release flaps covering ankle lobes. 3. Continue gentle release of dressing until completely removed.

CHANGE FREQUENCY: Optifoam® Gentle Heel should be changed when drainage is visible to the edges of the foam pad. It may be left in place for up to 7 days depending on the amount of drainage.

STORAGE: Protect from freezing, avoid excessive heat.

CONTRAINDICATIONS: Third degree burns.

Sterile in unopened, undamaged package.
