1. Prepare the ATV:

2. Remove Manual Shifting Components:

Take out the existing manual shifter assembly, including the foot shifter and associated linkages.

3. Install Electric Shift Components:

Mount the electric shift motor in the appropriate location on the ATV. This usually involves attaching it to the transmission housing.

4. Connect Wiring:

Connect the wiring harness from the electric shift motor to the control unit (ECU).

Connect the control unit to the handlebar-mounted shift buttons.

Ensure all connections are secure and routed safely to avoid interference with moving parts.

5. Install Handlebar-Mounted Shift Buttons:

Mount the handlebar-mounted shift buttons in a comfortable and accessible location on the handlebars.

6. Test the System:

Reconnect the battery and turn on the ATV.

Test the electric shift system to ensure that it engages and disengages smoothly.

7. Adjust as Necessary:

Fine-tune the installation as needed, making sure that the electric shift system is working reliably.

8. Secure Wiring and Components:

Use zip ties or similar methods to secure wiring and prevent it from interfering with other parts of the ATV.

9. Reassemble the ATV:

Put back any body panels or parts that were removed to access the shifter assembly.

10. Test Ride and Final Checks:

Take the ATV for a short test ride to ensure that the electric shift system works properly under load.

Check for any unusual noises, vibrations, or issues.

11. Safety Checks:

Double-check that all connections are secure and that there are no loose wires or components.

Make sure the handlebar-mounted shift buttons are within easy reach and operate smoothly.
