This limited 5000 copy edition, illustrated hardcover book tells the fascinating history of W & J Sloane, a prestigious New York rug and furniture store. Privately published in 1950, it offers a unique glimpse into the world of the high-end rug and furniture store and the people who made it possible. It features actual plaid cloth borders on the front and rear covers.

Condition is near excellent, only a little aging of the white borders on the cover. The plaid cloth covers are excellent. Inside pages are clean with crisp edges and no marks. It would be hard to find a better example of this rare 44 page book. Size is relatively large at 12x10 inches.
