Vintage unused ticket for a 1989 minor league baseball game between the Springfield Cardinals and the Rockford Expos at Robin Roberts Stadium in Springfield, Illinois.

The match was on Saturday, June 24 at 7 p.m. The reserved seat ticket cost $3.50.

At the time, Springfield was home to the Class A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals. The Expos, of course, were affiliated with Montreal.

Rockford’s roster in 1989 was stocked with ballplayers who later played in the major leagues, led by

-Matt Stairs, who hit .262 with 265 home runs and 899 RBI in 19 years with 12 teams in both leagues.

Other future big-leaguers on the Expos in 1989 were:

Ticket measures approximately 1 ¾” x 5 ½”.
