This vintage 70s long coat from Career Originals is to be seen to be believed.
The multicoloured leopard is very realistic. The fur fabric originating from France is incredibly soft and luxurious to the touch. Fully lined in deep dark brown satin fabric, again beautifully soft to the touch, this is a delight to wear. How do I know? It’s my coat, and I have for many years blamed my sister for nicking it and hiding it from me. I found it many years ago visiting my elderly mother and helping her clear out her wardrobe.
Then I remembered something she taught me. The art of wisdom is knowing what not to say. It’s too small for me now. I’m sure someone will get as much pleasure and as many compliments as I did. I bought it from an Oxfam shop on Margaret St London WC at the same time as my sister was buying her wedding dress! 1975
But this label has a pedigree. Throughout the 60s and 70s France led the world with faux fur. The animal print fabric is a flat pile and the skirt and the sleeves are smooth yet plush brown faux fur
