ITEM DESCRIPTION:


In this listing we are presenting a rare and highly desirable A. Lange & Söhne 18K Solid Gold Chronograph Pocket Watch with 60 Minute Counter.  PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS WATCH HAS NO MAKERS TRADEMARK.  A. Lange & Söhne is one of the most respected watch companies since the 1880s and the epitome of German Saxony Watchmaking.  From its beginning in the 1870s it has made watches of the highest quality in the Glashutte ¾ design and complicated watches amounted only less than 5% of their production.  This particular pocket watch was also made in their highest quality line of products with diamond end stone, rose gold chronograph train wheels, and solid gold escapement.  A. Lange & Söhne Chronograph Pocket Watches are extremely rare and this particular one has a 60 minute counter chapter as well.  For collectors and connoisseurs of A. Lange & Söhne and fine watches in general this is definitely a gem. 


Condition-wise the watch runs, sets, and all of the chronograph functions work including 60 minute counter.  When the chronograph is activated it tends to cause the watch to stop after a few minutes which means it is too dry and will need service.  Basic running of the watch appears to operate for extended time.  We do not make any guarantee to its function or timekeeping.  We recommend for all antique watch to be serviced before usage at the owner’s discretion.  Services can be requested with an additional charge and a longer delivery timeframe.  Cosmetically the watch has one hairline running through 8min position to the subseconds chapter at 3 o’clock.  The 18K solid gold case has some shallow dings and dents.  It also has a small hole at the 3 o’clock position which appears to have been originally designed as so.  18K solid gold case has matching serial number to the movement so it is 100% original.  Rest of the watch is in good shape for its age.  Diameter is 51.5mm, total weight is 117.8g.

We only accept payment made by eBay managed payment.  Buyers are welcomed to use all acceptable payment methods under eBay Managed Payment Platform including PayPal, Credit Cards, e-Checks, and more.  We will process shipping once funds are received and paid out from our seller managed payment account which usually takes 3-4 business days.


SHIPPING

For domestic shipping we only use FedEx. Shipping cost listed uses 2 days Express delivery. Overnight shipping will be available upon request.  For international sales outside of USA please inquire before making bids or purchase for shipping availability and cost to your country.

All items are required to include insurance in which the cost will depend on the ending value of the item. By nature of the transaction we reserve the right to declare full value on customs.  Buyer will also be required to provide positive feedback before the item ships. Please contact us before the auction ends so we can estimate international shipping cost.


RETURN

There is generally NO RETURNS for vintage or antique watches sold.  Only exception is that return can be requested if the item significantly deviate from the listing description and must be made within 2 days after receiving item. Any doubts must be addressed before the payment is made. We will not accept returns based on arguments that comes after the payment has been made. In case a return is agreed, buyer must return the item to us first before reimbursement is made. Reimbursement will not include original shipping cost and return shipping must also be paid by the buyer. Request for returns made on the basis of claiming items are NOT AS DESCRIBED will be subjected to a 15% restocking fee and no refund will be given to original shipping cost. Please note that we ALWAYS CLEARLY DESCRIBE our items and if it's our error then we will provide unconditional FULL REFUND.
