Foam

The cushion features a fire-resistant high-density foam core encased in polyester wadding (dacron) and stockinette. This design ensures that the cushion maintains its shape and height over time while also meeting fire safety standards.

Attaching cushions to the chairs

Inspirado offers 2 types of fastening mechanism to suit your preferences. 

  • Two velcro fixing tapes - Each cushion is securely fastened to the Ercol 4A 400 Windsor chair using two Velcro straps. This option requires no DIY work. Refer to one of the photos for a prototype of this mechanism. Our fixing tapes feature two surfaces: one matching the cushion color and the other being Velcro.
  • 4 fixing straps with press-studs - Each cushion is attached to the Ercol 4A 400 Windsor chair using fixing straps with press-studs. DIY installation of 4 base studs is needed. Base studs available in this listing: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/143631659660

  • As you may know, the Ercol 4A 400 Windsor Chair isn't designed with cushions. It's thanks to our customers' encouragement and collaboration that we've created these cushions. We've included photos showcasing this collaborative process, and we're grateful to our customers for their contribution.
  • We don't have currently our own Ercol 4A 400 Windsor Chair for photo displays. If customers permit, we'd appreciate using their photos to update the listing promptly. 
  • We typically make and dispatch our cushions well ahead of the specified deadline.
