Offering this great vintage Mid Century Modern small stoneware lidded casserole bowl/dish from California Pottery.  This bowl is pale pink stoneware and has a fine speckled matte finish with handle pulls.  There is a black stoneware ringed lid with a matte finish.  Both pieces are free of chips, cracks, stains, utensil markings, or signs of surface wear. These items were handcrafted and hand painted.  The lid has some unpainted areas on the bottom of the lid around the inner surface.  This has been present since production. The stoneware bowl bottom shows appears to have never been used.  It has an impressed Calif USA 15 backstamp to the bottom of the bowl.  The bow is 2 3/4 inches tall and is 7 inches across the rims.  It would be perfect for oven to table serving for a warm dip or small side dish or casserole. 

 This set has seen little if any use and gentle care.  While it is dishwasher safe, I would recommend hand washing to maintain its current condition.  This set shows beautifully and I consider it to be in excellent condition.
