Product Description
Being your average gay zombie movie, OTTO: OR UP WITH DEAD PEOPLE might be a hard sell for mainstream America. But with its blend of ambient sounds, avant-garde electronic pop, and the acoustic jauntiness of the Homophones' "Everyone's Dead," some of the tracks on OTTO could still be played in clubs all over. Elsewhere, it's pure soundtrack: "Ascending the River" coats mournful strings in crackles of static, and "Halfway Between the World and Death" creaks with the implied menace of footsteps on an old staircase.
