These have been reproduced off the original design set up by Abington Special Tuning, who used this unit in their racing and performance cars.

The idea of this unit is to give a controlled even water flow to aid extra cooling when the engine is under stress conditions.

By removing the thermostat this sleeve unit can be fitted.
