This beautiful red burl wood box looks great on a dresser, living room side table, coffee table or where ever you want to smarten up an area. This is a very sturdy box, the top rests on the top of the bottom frame. There are no markings on the box to indicate its place of manufacture. I know it was purchased at Marshall Fields in the late 1970's as a gift. I put the glass case in the photos to help the purchaser understand the size of the box. It is 6 and 1/2 inches by 9 inches and 1 3/4 inches deep (2 inches high).
