Boat part number 8203938 is a new SpringLift gas spring from Attwood Marine, part number SL14-40-1 . Commonly used on Four Winns Boats, but may be used on other boats.

This gas spring is constructed out of steel and measures approximately 20" L (11 1/2" L Compressed) x 5/8" H x 3/4" D overall. Hosts an approximately 8 1/2" L x 1/4" Dia. shaft. Mounts with (2) 3/8" Dia holes set apart 20" center to center. This gas spring is rated for 40 lbs of work load.
