Fits 1999-2003 3 series E46 (with Rain Sensors windsheild & BMW Car Alarm) but it will not work on mirror with SOS option build into the mirror (2004-2006 E46 3 Series with SOS option build on the mirror), please make sure you notice this before making the purchase to avoid total damage to the mirror as it will stay dark dim position and eventually will cause the mirror to bubble up and pop or leak out all the dimming liquid.

Only take a few minutes to replace the mirror

The auto dimming will darken the mirror automatically when the cars behind you or on the side is too bright or with high bean as well as cars from opposite direction with to bright headlight or high bean.  It will then clears back to normal when the brightness reduce from cars in front or behind automatically. 51.16-7 148 839
