Built on the famous LC 2.5 frame, the LC 2.5 DD (deep diver)
will dive much deeper, hitting the 10-foot zone. It casts great and comes in
silent as well as the DRS (deep rattle sound) version. The oversized profile
has a knack for calling big bass and this bait has accounted for some true
trophy bass for Lucky Craft pro Brent Ehrler.
"This is one of my favorite crankbaits, and I have
caught a few ten-pounders on this bait," he says. "It's a big bait,
so I like an 8-foot cranking rod. It will dig the bottom in 10 feet and you can
get it to 12 feet with a long cast and lighter line. I like the DRS to get
schools fired up and if they stop biting, I'll switch to the silent version and
can usually get another fish or two."
