Hi Friends,  Offered for sale is a Impacted Quartz Geode As Found From Weaubleau Impact Structure Rim Missouri 82 Grams. This is a probably impacted quartz from an ancient meteorite crater structure rim. This specimen may have been affected by multiple shock waves, electric lightning forces, high heat, or earthquake during the impact in the rim uplift area. This specimen is as found; like a pre-cracked strange conical geode eroded from the ground in the condition seen. I believe some of these strange quartz and geodes were in the ground around the outside of the meteorite crater but still received a lot of shock. This is a wonderful specimen with unusual conical shape, cross hatching healed cracks, multiple forms of quartz, deep crystal cavity, and possibly high heat and impact shock quartz.      The Weaubleau Structure is the 4th largest impact site in the USA dating around 340 million years since impact and has a 12 mile circular eroded crater area. The probable meteorite hit in a location that was once Mississippian Era Ocean, was sealed with millions of years of limestone formation and may be one of the only preserved ancient meteorite sites in the World. Through more recent erosion stones which may have been result of or affected by the ancient impact are being found basically un-eroded with a little chalcedony seeped in.
