1941 Ford Trucks
Ford Dealer Pre-War Promo
This exceptional color post card was
provided by Ford for its dealers to send to prospective customers. It has a
distinctive picture of pre-war Ford trucks, unloading at the dock and on the
road. Ford was taking advantage of the pre - WW II market. The upcoming war was
inevitable. Large production factories were already preparing for a changeover
to producing war materials.
The reverse side has a paragraph
saying, RIGHT NOW we’re trading high! Come in for a big deal on a
big new 1941 Ford Truck or Commercial Car powered for your loads with Your choice
of Engines ~ 90 or 95 Horsepower, V8 or 30 Horsepower super economy Four.
Quality engineered, Quality built for outstanding performance, economy, long
life! Ask for …… and a place for a salesman to sign it.
It has the address of the dealer,
Houston Motor Co. Main Street, Houston, Mo. We marked it as new, because it
never had a stamp on it nor was it mailed. It is slightly curved from going
through the typewriter to type the customer’s name and address on it, but
frames flat. It also says, Day Phone 94, Night Phone 103. It
has a place for a 1¢ stamp and has been addressed by a typewriter, but never
stamped or sent.
This is a
unique frame-able for the Ford Truck enthusiast. It is 3 ½ by 5 ½ inches.
We found a small box of various Ford car and Truck cards like this in the back
of a file cabinet of an old Ford Dealership being demolished. No folds, no
tears, no nips, no fading, hasn’t seen daylight for well over 80 years! Perfect
Condition.
