Description of the coin 1 ruble 1844 Tsar Nicholas I

Obverse: in a circle along the edge of the coin, the inscription “PURE SILVER 4 GOLDEN 21 SHARE” divided by a rosette at the top, in the middle in a circle of dots the coat of arms of the Russian Empire, at the bottom left and right of the tail of the eagle the initials of the mintzmeister “KB” (Konstantin Butenev).
Reverse: at the top of the coin is the crown of the Russian Empire, below the word “COIN” and below it the designation of the denomination “RUBLE”, along them two curly lines directed in different directions, below the year of issue of the coin “1844” and below it the designation of the mint “SPB”. On the left along the edge of the coin is a laurel branch, on the right is an oak branch, at the bottom the branches are connected and tied with a ribbon.
