Jim Gentile
Baltimore Orioles Franchise's 1st Real Slugger
1961 - 1963 Baltimore Orioles
Game Used H&B L/S Baseball Bat
Hillerich & Bradsby Louisville Slugger

Jim Gentile was an under-rated slugger whose career 162 game statistical average is pretty impressive.... 31 Home Runs and 95 RBI's per every 162 games (1 full season) played.  Despite leading the minor leagues 2x in Home Runs, his major league career got off to a slow start as he was relegated to the minors, unable to unseat Brooklyn Dodger's Hall of Famer first baseman Gil Hodges, who started in front of him.  It didn't take long after the Bums traded him for his star to shine... Gentile was an All Star in 1960, 1961 and 1962.  In 1961 he smashed 46 home runs and tied Roger Maris for the league lead with 141 RBI's.  Gentile played for the Brooklyn Dodgers, the California Angels, the Baltimore Orioles, the Kansas City A's, the Houston Astros and the Cleveland Indians.

As for the bat...
It is an authentic Game Used Louisville Slugger, ordered by, and made for Jim Gentile during the prime of his career with the Orioles.  Although the bat is clearly identified as a bat Gentile ordered, PSA/DNA can't  attribute the game-use to Gentile as the bat has a green 3 on the knob, the uniform number of teammate Ron Hansen.  The LOA and the matching sticker on the bat are identified as Certification Number 1B10953 in the PSA/DNA Database.  This model T99, 34" beauty exhibits tremendous game use and displays like a million bucks!

What a great chance to add something special to your collection.  Don't miss out.
