If you are a lover of botanical art Margaret Mee's works deserve to become a part of your collection.Margaret Mee (1909-1988) is well known in the field of plant preservation, through realistic sketch and painting.She is considered an explorer, conservationist, botanist and scientific illustrator.Her works have been the basis for many plant studies both before her death and still currently today.Her rare plant sketches and paintings allow for the plant to be studied without actually retrieving the plant from deep in the Brazilian rain forest.If you search the internet you will find unsigned lithographs of her's with ease, but to find a pencil signed print now a days is rare.The most recent sale of a signed print i found sold in 2017, there are none currently listed on ebay and has not been for a while.This print is taken from her original painting of "The Flowers Of A Yellow Paul d'Arco, A Trumpet Vine From The Amazons.This print is numbered 982/1000 and is signed in pencil, published by The Frame House Gallery Inc.After doing extensive research i found out that Margaret Mee approved The Frame House Gallery Inc to create this run of /1000 in 1974.There is an official c.o.a sleeve backside of the print, however it is empty.This print is in overall good condition, there is slight toning at the very edge of the matte.Please refer to all photos as they give great insight of it's detail and condition.This print has been in the very same frame in which it was first framed in.It has been safe stored and kept from direct lighting.The frame has some ware, but is in overall good condition.Please Bid Accordingly as we strive for excellence, and want all of our customers happy good business is the best business.Thank You for visiting Arterature Gallery.Please view our entire inventory, we have much to offer the ebay collector world.....
