Part of the compact and lightweight CXT series of 12v cordless machines, the JV103D is a brushless D-handle jigsaw with soft start and an additional Soft no-load function; this means that the machine starts up smoothly without any jolting or jarring from the motor recoil, but also goes into a reduced speed mode whenever the saw is running idle. This helps to minimize any vibrations affecting the tool body or workpiece during operation. Constant speed control also ensures performance is kept consistent while under load.

A brushless motor ensures the JV103D gets maximum efficiency out of lithium ion batteries so runtimes can be extended, and further benefits include tool-free blade changes, an LED worklight, 3 orbital settings and a straight cutting mode.
