Remove the lcp sensor, then connect the metric adapter and hose to that port. Monitoring the performance with the analog gauge-This can still be done with thelcp sensor removed & unplugged because the computer will simply go into a defaultmode.

Air test- Supply full shop air pressure to the same lcp sensor port and connect 12v tothe lpr valve at the same time.The 12v commands the lpr closed to prevent the air flowfrom internally escaping.(Apply the 12v when performing an air leak test only) Not forwhen using the gauge to monitor the pressure reading. (lf you have a scan tool that's capable of commanding the lpr closed, then you won'teven need to manually apply 12v to it.)

6.0 / VT365 Tip: Remove oil filter before the air leak test. lf you hear air gurgling from the filter housing,this is always a sign of a bad hpop.

7.3/T444-Same as the 6.0, but you don't have to go through the lcp sensor port. There are extra ports on each head that are plugged, and you can connect to anyof those ports. It doesn't matter which head you pick either.

CAT Engines-There are plugged ports on the driver side of the head you can utilize foryour hose connection.
