This is a rare original First World War period fund raising paper pin badge for wounded soldiers and sailors..
The badge was sold as a 'Fag Day Fund' , presumably to supply these injured service men in cigarettes.
A smoking soldier and sailor are depicted on one side of the flag pin badge.
The paper badge ( 45 mm high, inc. pin) is a little age worn and creased .
However, it is fairly firm and presentable with no significant damage. no real damage.
The colours are still quite vibrant.
The hundred year old item has done well to survive..
Extremely rare.
