Feeding Guideline.
When selecting a bully stick, size is of utmost importance for safety. To minimize the risk of accidental swallowing, choking, or intestinal blockages, always choose a bully stick with a width that exceeds your dog's mouth. If you are uncertain between two sizes, opt for the larger option.
Always supervise your dog during their chewing sessions and remove any small, broken, or damaged pieces promptly. Frequently inspect the bully stick for wear and discard it once it becomes small enough to pose a choking hazard. Bully stick safety toys are recommended, which can help prevent last small piece to be eaten.
Additionally, ensure your dog has access to fresh water before, during, and after consuming the treat. For dogs new to bully sticks, it is advisable to introduce them slowly to prevent any stomach upset. As a general rule, treats like bully sticks should not account for more than 10% of your dog's daily caloric intake.
