One of the first helicopters developed by
Bell, the H13 is a derivative of the Bell Model 30, which was developed
as early as 1943. It first flew in 1945 and was delivered to US forces
in Korea in January 1951. Since 1956, Corgi Classics has endeavored to
manufacture the finest die-case models for collectors and enthusiasts.

Bell H-13 Sioux Originally designed as a single engine,
light helicopter for use by civilians, the Bell H-13 Sioux first flew on
December 8, 1945 as the Bell 47 prototype. Later re-designated H-13 by
the United States Army Air Forces, the improved aircraft
was used as an observation and basic training helicopter. The design is
characterized by a full bubble canopy, skid landing gear and
welded-tube tail boom. It has two high-level mounted saddle fuel tanks
and a two bladed single rotor. The H-13 was immortalized by the
long-running television show M.A.S.H., where it was portrayed in its
role as a medivac aircraft.
