Thompson is a borough in Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania. It was incorporated in 1876, from part of Thompson Township. Both were named after Susquehanna County associate judge William Thompson. The population in 1910, just after this card was post marked was 322. It was 299 at the 2010 census.
The card was published by “G.V. Millar” in Scranton Pa. and post marked,1908 in Berrybrook, New York. It is in fair condition with a major bend lower right corner and some postal ink upper right. There is just minor wear on the other corners and edges and aside form the ink, the image is clean and clear.
It is panorama of Thompson with a stone fence in the foreground. Millar published regional color and black & white view-cards in tinted halftone in Scranton from 1908-15.
The colors on the images are a more neutral B&W than the scan.
