X-treme midrange performance is what PRV Audio’s 8MR600X-4 is all about. Made to be a class leading mid range in the car audio realm, this driver has a sensitivity of 98 dB and only weighs 7 pounds. This low frequency driver is optimized for custom car audio applications to perform best on very small enclosures, a pro audio version is available at 8ohms 8MR600X
The powerful magnet assembly assures high flux concentration. The ventilated basket designed between the basket and the magnetic structure significantly improves thermal connection and heat dissipation, further increasing power handling and lowering power compression.
Capable of high output and low distortion, this midrange is perfect for filling in the important midrange response in any high output sound system.

The 51 mm (2 in) copper clad aluminum wire is wound in a double layer using a high temperature resin adhesive on a strong polyimide former and features a generous 14.2 mm winding length for extended Xmax and less distortion.
The 2″ voice coil also ensures high heat dissipation and the necessary motor strength to deliver high sensitivity even on high power with the minimum distortion.
A Qts of 0.37 and an unique double roll dimple suspension design allows for a flat response from 200Hz to 2500Hz, even at high excursion controlling well its natural paper cone at its 5.10 mm Xmax.
Its composite cone is built with non-pressed paper (visible on the back side) for reduced break-up and smooth sound. Its extended frequency response up 8,500hz makes this midrange driver a perfect to combine with any Super Tweeter.
