I had the pleasure of seeing Del Shannon perform twice in the mid-1980's, once in Ottawa, Canada and once in Toronto, Canada.

 The Live In Australia video captures perfectly a Del Shannon performance. 

In fact, the between songs banter was exactly as I remember it right down to the opening, "I'm not a comic. I don't tell stories. I only rock and roll"...and the immediate start of "Hats Off to Larry". 

On stage, Del Shannon conveyed a genuine sense of enthusiasm...it didn't matter that he had already performed Runaway 10,000 times...and his voice is as good as ever, including the fine cover versions of both Roy Orbison's Crying and Dion's "Runaround Sue". 

The video is exactly 1 hour long and it's 99% music. The audio and picture quality are very good.
