Foam

Fire resistant high-density foam core is inside the seat cushion cover. The core of the seat cushion is wrapped into polyester wadding (dacron) and stockinette, and so the cushion does not go flat over time even with heavy use.

Attaching cushions to the chairs

The Penn cushions attach to the Ercol Penn chairs with straps sewn at the bottom of the cushions. The straps wrap around slats of the chair seats and lock on themselves with Velco sewn on them.
