1794 Liberty Cap Large Cent. Accurately attributed to the Sheldon variety index as an S-70 piece, representing the sought-after Head of 1795 design type with the curl on the shoulder. This raw item features a highly stable, uncleaned light chocolate-brown patina across exceptionally smooth, non-porous fields. The obverse portrait displays an old, deeply impressed "K" counterstamp on the cheek, complemented by a sharp, clear date layout and the diagnostic die crack splitting through the letter T in LIBERTY. The reverse displays legible legends and a distinct wreath structure, while the edge retains complete, crisp lettering reading "ONE HUNDRED FOR A DOLLAR." Review the high-resolution images to evaluate the surfaces and determine your own final assessment. Minted back when George Washington was president, this piece of history would make a nice addition to any early copper collection.
