Wormwood Herb (Artemisia Absinthium) commonly called wormwood or absinthe, is an herb that fantastically affects the work of the digestive system and supports normal metabolism. The bioactive compounds present in wormwood are glycosides (bitter substances): absintine, anabsintine and artabsin; coumarin compounds, volatile oil containing mainly thujone; and also tujol, kandinene, azulene, felandren, chamazulen, cineol, tannins, resins, organic acids and artemitin - a flavonoid present in wormwood flowers.
