Includes 1 red battery adapter (c4).

3D Printed adapter in PETG

*increased heat resistance (80C)

*increased impact resistance

*increased chemical resistance

This battery adapter/cover has been tested to work with DeWALT 20V Max Li-ion batteries. Including models: DCB184, DCB204, and DCB205

Adapter has 10 inches of 12 gauge wire installed; ready for high power applications.

Recommended to use M4 or #6 mounting screws.

  • Do not use this adapter to charge your battery

  • Do not short circuit battery or draw more than 20amps continuous

  • Disconnect the battery before it reaches 15volts, (prolongs battery life)

  • Do not leave battery charged at 100% for long periods of time, recommended to store battery at 70% charge (prolongs battery life)

Next day shipping with 2-3day delivery time within the continental USA.

Throughly tested design with hundreds of prints. This design compensates for slight dimensional differences between DeWALT batteries. Terrafirma strives to continuously improve this design, if you find any flaws please send an message.

Rev 0.1 to 0.9:
10/06/2016
prototype with 10AWG wire developed wired to robot

Rev 1.0:
08/10/2017
Initial version with 10AWG automotive wires, tested working at 4AMP current at 24Volts.

Rev 1.1:
batteries vary in dimensional tolerances, this design leaves enough    room while still maintaining a snug fit.
support 10AWG wires, 15Amps of current at 20V

Rev 1.8:
5/20/2018
using 10AWG speaker wire, more wire flexibility but thicker wires.

Rev 1.9:
6/7/2018
now using 12AWG wire, changed wire hole dimensions
now using better zinc plated pins

Rev 2.0:
6/22/2018
made adapter more inline with battery outline, this should also make it easier to print vertically, changed text sizes

Rev 2.1:
6/22/2018
updated text for + and - and rev string

Rev 2.2:
7/7/2018
modified adapter footprint to improve vertical printing, increased wire hole for 12AWG wires pass through, increased screw head diameter for M4 mounting screws, change wire out fillet to chamfer

Rev 2.3a:
7/30/2018
12AWG wire, smooth transition of battery curvature to adapter, removed right angle edges at the tip of adapter, optimized print settings.

Rev2.4a
8/6/2018
Modified side text, changed sharp edges near wire out area to fillet to improve vertical printing, increased structural strength by increasing infill percentage

Rev 1.1b:
7/26/2018
16AWG wire installed, smooth transition of battery curvature to adapter, removed right angle edges at the tip of adapter, optimized print settings,

Rev 1.2b:

8/10/2018

12 gauge wire installed, increase infill percentage to strengthen adapter, changes to adapter text

Rev b1.3

8/24/2018

adjustment to latch opening to latch slightly better, more of a snap fit. Adjustment to pin area left and right sides height; this makes a more snug adapter fit. adjustment to print settings with negative retraction; this makes a more clean print

Rev c1.1

8/26/2018

a modified version with wires coming out at right angle to the adapter body, designed so user can drill holes where the wire come out and mount to their own device

Rev c1.2

9/4/2018

optimized for automatic support generation by slightly increasing 90degree surface angles where no supports are needed, changed mounting dimensions to 29mm separated holes; same as milwaukee power adapters so users should be able swap dewalt with milwaukee battery by simply swapping battery adapters without drilling new mounting holes. Mounting holes separation distance are also whole numbers now making it easier to work with

Rev c1.5

2/20/2019

changed from 3 mounting holes to 5 mounting holes, improved compatibility with batteries, improved strength

RevC2

5/24/2019

new pins, redesigned shell
