You will find this perfect for crochet, embroidery, needlepoint, cross-stitch, huck weaving, scrapbooking, cardmaking, machine emboidery, or as a carry-along metallic thread to add interest to a main yarn in knitting - however it is lighter than a lace weight yarn, so I would not consider knitting with it on its own! For comparison this is a thinner metallic thread than the Kreinik Very Fine Braid, 

You will find approximately 100 yards per 13 gram ball -- that's a whole lot of lovely!  (YarnArt marks the label at 20grams but once you subtract the weight of the spool, actual weight of the thread is 13 grams +/-
