The D9910 is a built-in 14 bit DAC direct digital frequency synthesizer (DDS) that supports sampling rates up to 1 GSPS. AD9910 uses advanced DDS proprietary technology to dramatically reduce power consumption without sacrificing performance. The DDS/DAC combination constitutes a digitally programmable high-frequency analog output synthesizer capable of generating frequency agile sinusoidal waveforms at frequencies up to 400 MHz. The user can access three signal control parameters for controlling the DDS, including frequency, phase and amplitude. The AD9910 uses 32 bit accumulators to provide fast frequency hopping and frequency tuning resolution. At a sampling rate of 1 GSPS, the tuning resolution is ~0.23 Hz. The DDS also implements fast phase and amplitude switching functions. The user can program the internal control register of the AD9910 through the serial I/O port to achieve the control of the AD9910. The AD9910 integrates static RAM to support a variety of combinations of frequency, phase, and / or amplitude modulation. AD9910 also supports user-defined CNC digital ramp work modes. In this mode, frequency, phase, or amplitude vary linearly with time. AD9910's built-in high speed parallel data input port enables direct modulation of frequency, phase, amplitude or pole to support more advanced modulation functions.
