The Sealed Mystery edition appears to have been issued about six months after the first printing, appearing in shops in early 1931)

Description: A very nice example of the rare Sealed Mystery edition in its original dustwrapper. The publisher Harrap printed a small number of copies in its Sealed Mystery series, where the final chapter is sealed. The books were advertised on the basis that "if having read halfway through the book the reader is not interested, or thinks he knows the solution of the mystery, the book can be returned and money refunded!" Copies of any Sealed Mystery titles in dustjackets are very scarce, and this book is decidedly rare. 

The dustwrapper is in attractive condition, with wear to the extremities, small areas of loss to the spine ends and bottom corner of the rear cover, and reinforcement to the inner surface at the top of the spine (see pictures).  The book itself is in very nice condition, having been protected by the dustwrapper. Light toning to endpapers. Sealed final chapter opened. Clean and free of inscriptions. Binding sound and square. A nice example of this rare book.
