They are great to correct the skin tone, for example, the green inter-color mica will correct a reddish skin tone or the violet inter-color will warm up a yellow skin tone, a trick used by the commercial industry!

Please Take Note; Untreated mica powders are transparent and are thus coated with iron oxide pigments (black, red, yellow) and titanium dioxide to create silver-white but also gold, copper and bronze shades. Others are coated with an additional layer of colored pigment including carmine, ferric ferrocyanide, D&C reds, chromium oxide and aluminum oxide. This combination results in a brilliant color effect.

Tip 1; The mica powders you purchase will speak for themselves, if they are high sparkle powders, even if you try to grind them, the end product will still have some shine and shimmer within. Grinding mica powders ruins their original look. If you like the duller after effect, then, fine, but it does change them. If you run the color through a grinder, you are wreaking havoc on this structure.  Your grinder is separating the sheets and making a duller product. I prefer to mix or to shake them in a little zip-lock bag with no grinding whatsoever.

Tip 2; Mica powders offer poor adhesion and will not stay long on the skin if they are not mixed with a very adhesive base or with mixture base/ pigments.
