DANA 44 INNER AXLE SEALS

Ford Large Tube Style

Gear lube leaking from the axle tubes is a sign that the inner seals are likely to be worn or damaged. These seals are located in the housing, just outboard of the differential bearings. Disassembly of the axle and removal of the carrier is required to install these seals.

These seals fit the 78-79 Ford Dana 44 housings. Early closed knuckle Dana 60s that use the large outside diameter seal (2.625) and some years of Jeep Grand Wagoneer. Seals are either National 2300 or Spicer 620257, depending on stock on hand. Kit includes two seals.
