The position of the oil pickup has a major effect on the performance of a wet sump oil pan. Where it sits in relationship to the baffling and its distance off the bottom of the pan greatly affects its performance. ASR pickups are built specifically to work with each pan they are designed for. They are made from heavy wall tubing and have solid mounting brackets. The screened pickup cup protects your pump from large debris. The screen is large enough so there is no restriction in oil flow but small enough to ensure no air can reach the pump under the demanding racing conditions.
