IRISH FANTASY ART PRINT The Warrior-Madness of Nuada Silverarm 16x11 By Jim FitzPatrick

THE WARRIOR-MADNESS OF NUADA SILVERARM.

One of my earliest interpretations of the Nuada of the Silver Arm character, drawn from Irish mythology, originally intended as a work for The Book of Conquests.

As I wrote the text for the book my interpretation evolved and changed from the American comic book style to a more Japanese Ukiyo-e influenced hard outline kind of artwork, but despite the changes to my artwork style, I still love this one and it stands as probably my finest work from that early period.

Nuada of the Silver Arm has always been one of my favourite warriors from the Early Irish Mythological Cycle and remains so to this day.

My other favourite is the war-witch, The Mórrigan, the Crow Goddess. That one I have to do justice to one day, perhaps in a similar style to the Warrior-Madness art.
