THE STORY OF THE PAINTING

Cruitne was the beautiful daughter of the chieftain Lochan but fell in love with the youthful warrior Finn McCool, much to the disgust of her father who disapproved as the warrior Goll wanted the head of Finn on a plate for an great insult to him and his people. They became lovers but never married as Finn was afraid the Cruitne would be killed in his place if they were man and wife.
Signed and numbered Limited Edition Print. Large Size A2: 23.4"x 16.5", 420mm x594mm printed by the artist on Oyster semi-matt high quality paper using lightfast archival inks. Signed Limited Edition of 295. This print will also be embossed as proof of authenticity. All prints are printed by me(Jim FitzPatrick) in my studio.
