You are bidding on one beautiful, dichroic glass pendant with leather cord. I have several designs available. Main picture is a Fender Stratocaster style guitar silhouette on blue-gold background (Item B-1-3, see available items below).

Features:

Guitar pendants are approximately 1.25" high, Drumset 1" high, music notes, cleffs and drum about 3/4" high.
The guitar was modeled after a Fender Stratocaster.
Bails are silver plated, but can be changed to sterling silver for an additional $5.
Price includes leather cord. Specify black or brown.
Sterling chain can be substituted for an additional $15, specify length, 16", 18" or 24".
Custom orders are available. Allow 1-2 weeks processing time if the item is not in stock.

I have been making jewelry as a hobby for several years now and have finally decided to sell my wares. I haven't posted much yet on eBay but have been selling at fairs and galleries. I have hand drawn or drawn on the computer all of the images. They are all my original designs and you won't find them anywhere else. The images are transferred and etched into the dichroic glass coating then fired in a kiln. The sparkling color looks different from various angles (see the picture at left) and really stand out.

About Dichroic Glass:

Dichroic glass is a high-tech spin-off of the space industry. The amazing brilliance of Dichroic glass is achieved by vaporizing metallic oxide onto glass sheets in a controlled vacuum by a process called "thin film physics". The treated glass is cut and the stacked pieces are fused in a kiln, often several times. Further annealing, grinding and firepolishing result in beautiful and unique jewelry with dazzling colors.

Dichroic glass jewelry is a real attention-getter and you will be amazed how people take notice of these unusual and dramatic pieces.

About the Artist (Me!):

Raised in southern New York State, I have always been interested in art. I hold Bachelors and Masters degrees in computer science from Iona College where I also studied art. I operate my studio in Newtown, Connecticut where I design and produce fine jewelry, photographs and other handcrafted items.

I studied silversmithing, lapidary, and glass manipulation under some highly esteemed jewelers and glass artists including Fredricka Kulicke, Lessley Burke, Joy Raskin, Linda Banks, Annemarie Ciuffini, Stephanie Maddalena, and Kurt Patzlaff. Each piece is handmade one at a time with great attention to detail. Custom designed jewelry is available by request.

My jewelry work includes fabricated silver, fused and lampworked glass, and enamels. I take inspiration from my interests in nature photography, the Florida Keys, and music, and I incorporate those elements into my designs.

I also enjoy working on special requests for custom items and giving classes to share my skills. All of my jewelry is made by hand in my private studio using time honored fabrication methods making each piece unique. Custom pieces are not identical to the original because every piece of jewelry is individually handmade and no two pieces are ever exactly alike. The design may be similar, the overall size of the piece will be the same, and the colors will be the same, but the shape or image may be slightly different.

How to Order:

I will process your order as soon as you specify the following information:

Specify desired image. For example, Item B-1-3 is the main picture for this ad.

Specify tray B or C (from below), then the Row number and the Column number.
Describe the item in words (see list to the right of the tray)

Price includes leather cord. Specify black or brown. Cords are 16" long.
Optional: If the item is not shown in the tray and you want a custom order, specify the image and color
Optional: Bails are silver plated, but can be changed to sterling silver for an additional $5. Specify if you want to add a sterling bail.
Optional: Sterling chain can be substituted for the cord for an additional $15, specify length, 16", 18" or 24".
