This framed art print reproduces "The Restaurant" by Belgian Post-Impressionist painter Paul Mathieu (1872-1932). Celebrated for his plein-air landscapes and masterly depiction of light, Mathieu captures a serene riverside scene featuring calm blue water reflecting the sky, a meandering dirt towpath, lush embankment grasses, and rural buildings framed by slender poplars. Rendered in a tranquil palette of soft sky blues, verdant greens, and warm earth tones, this composition exemplifies late 19th and early 20th-century European Luminist and Impressionist traditions.
