Item: FM Konstglas Ronneby Sweden Art Glass Amber Bird  2.75"H Figure Paperweight

The Kosta LG270 is a vintage hand-blown clear glass vase with etched decoration, designed by Vicke Lindstrand (1904–1983) and produced by Kosta (Sweden) between 1954 and 1957
 

  • Prefix Significance: The code engraved on the bottom breaks down specifically: L stands for Lindstrand (the designer), G stands for Gravering (indicating it features an etched or engraved decoration), and 270 is the specific shape and pattern number
  • The Imagery: The matte-cut engraving portrays a young girl holding out her shirt or looking up as falling stars shower down around her, creating an illusion that she is "juggling" them.
  • The Story: It represents the story of a poor, selfless orphan girl who gives away her last bits of clothing and food to those in need. In return, the stars fall from the sky and turn into silver coins (star money) to reward her kindness

Terms of Sale

Return Reason: Buyer changed mind/remorse/ordered by mistake.  Keep in mind, before returning, the seller has advised the buyer they will not be refunded for the original shipping costs paid for by the seller where seller offers free shipping.
