5 Antique Georgian Robert Wells Bronze Crotal Bells Horse Sleigh Bells On Strap
5 bells in total (3 attached to the strap, 2 currently detached but included).
In excellent antique condition, tarnishing and marking you'd expect.
All bells are completely intact with NO cracks or splits.
Large bell is approx 6.5cm diameter and the smaller ones are approx 5.5cm.
Every bell contains its original interior metal sounding pea, so they all still ring.
The bells feature the stamped size progression numbers 4, 4, 4, 5, and one number I'm not sure of (see photo) possibly arranged this way as a tuned, harmonic harness cluster.
The heavy-duty leather harness strap and iron buckle are included but are in poor, fragile condition and probably Victorian. The leather is dry, worn, and has split/separated at the lower section (as shown in the photographs), causing two of the bells to come loose.
Sold strictly as a historical display piece, for parts, or as a restoration project for a leather specialist. The leather has been left entirely untouched and un-oiled to preserve historical integrity.
