A set of eight Chippendale-style dining chairs in mahogany, each back carved with an interlaced ribbon splat beneath a shaped, carved crest rail, with acanthus and shell detail. The set includes armchairs with scrolled arms and side chairs, all upholstered in a sage, cream and tan stripe with a subtle woven dot.

The carving is crisp and layered, the mahogany a deep reddish-brown with a soft sheen, and the straight, molded legs are joined by stretchers for stability. The striped seats bring a fresh, light note to the dark wood.
