Vintage Rothmans of Pall Mall – Royal Tank Regiment Cigarette Presentation Box

An unusual vintage Rothmans of Pall Mall cigarette presentation box, featuring a beautifully worked Royal Tank Regiment badge in traditional gold bullion-wire embroidery.

Believed to date from the mid-20th century, possibly the 1940s–1960s, this attractive piece of British military memorabilia may originally have been sold as a Christmas gift through military retail outlets such as NAAFI, although this connection has not been confirmed.

* Original Rothmans of Pall Mall branding.

* Royal Tank Regiment insignia featuring a tank, crown, laurel wreath and Fear Naught motto.

* Traditional raised gold bullion-wire embroidery with coloured thread detailing.

* Navy-blue exterior with decorative silver-coloured edging.

* Fitted wooden interior with two compartments.

* Original plain cardboard outer box and protective tissue wrapping.

* Handwritten 2/6 marking on the outer packaging, possibly an original retail price.

Condition

Very good vintage condition, appearing unused, with a particularly clean interior. Some age-related wear and storage marks to the exterior and original cardboard packaging, as photographed.

The original tissue and outer box have been retained and are included in the sale.
