Old Spoace age rocket sculpture made of metal There is a little lamp inside, but as I do not know how to open the battery space, I dont know how or if it works. The sign reads "s. gen. por. petrzilovi prislusnici vu 6310 hranice". <p>Here is, what I found out in the WWW:
Facts about the unit and the context:
- VU 6310 Hranice: This special unit (Jaslo Barracks) was strictly confidential within the Czechoslovak People's Army (ČSLA) as the 11. pohyblivá technická základna (11th Mobile Technical Base), as it was responsible for the storage, transport, and preparation of missile ammunition and (theoretically in case of emergency) nuclear warheads for the artillery and missile troops.
- The rank: Generálporučík (Lieutenant General, abbreviated as gen. por.) was one of the highest ranks in the Czechoslovak army.
- The connection: Such mentions usually originate from veteran forums (like Vojensko.cz or ČSLA Facebook tradition groups), where former soldiers (Spolubojovníci / brothers-in-arms) look for comrades who served under the leadership or during the inspection of Lieutenant General Petržílka in Hranice.
