Vintage 7-inch vinyl single by British glam rock band The Sweet, featuring "Poppa Joe" and "Jeanie," released on RCA Victor under catalog number 74-16136.

The Sweet were one of the most recognizable British rock bands of the 1970s, known for their energetic performances, distinctive vocal harmonies, and catchy blend of glam rock, bubblegum pop, and hard rock. The group achieved international success with numerous hit singles and became an important part of the early 1970s glam rock movement.

"Poppa Joe," written by Mike Chapman and Nicky Chinn, is a lively, rhythm-driven pop-rock recording featuring the band's characteristic harmonies, infectious melodies, and upbeat arrangement. The song became a popular international hit and remains a recognizable recording from The Sweet's early career.

The B-side, "Jeanie," was written by members of the band together with producer Phil Wainman and offers another example of their melodic early 1970s sound.

Both tracks were produced by Phil Wainman for New Dawn Productions Ltd.

This release features the distinctive orange RCA Victor labels with white lettering and comes with its original green and black picture sleeve featuring a photograph of the band.

The vinyl is graded Very Good Plus (VG+), showing light signs of previous use and minor surface marks consistent with normal handling.

Both original orange RCA Victor labels remain clearly legible, with visible signs of handling and minor marks. The "Poppa Joe" label has handwritten pen markings.

The original green and black picture sleeve shows substantial age-related wear. There are extensive creases, scratches, discoloration, edge and corner wear, tears, and visible adhesive tape repairs. The lower edge has significant damage, including a torn and folded section, while additional tape is visible along the sleeve edges.
