JBL Professional Series 5233 frequency dividing network. One-channel active crossover in a 1U rack. Face: JBL badge, HF LEVEL pot, green power LED. Window shows the plug-in card at 7000 Hz. Rear: screw-terminal barrier strips (input / low / high), voltage switch 100–120 V or 200–240 V. Serial 2034. Line cord on.
These boxes sat between the mixer and the amps that drove the big horns — JBL / Altec stacks on a 1970s–80s dance floor. 5233 is the mono sibling of the 5234. 12 dB/octave class network; HF level sets how hard the horn gets hit. Not a consumer mini-DSP.
Tested: powers on, green LED steady, knob turns the full sweep. Sold as shown. No returns.
