MORTELAZ (19th-20th century), large format oil on canvas, still life with grapes, cherry, peach and flower bouquet

Very beautiful large format oil on canvas, part of a pair, signed lower right Mortelaz, undoubtedly a 19th century Savoyard painter, in a pretty stuccoed and gilded wooden frame which is later (dated 19/8/1938 on the back of the frame, marked in blue ink Gagneux C135 and J. Lavenant and in chalk "right side").

Still life with fruit (white and black grapes, cherries, a peach) and a large, very colorful flower bouquet resting in a terracotta vase, very pretty wicker basket.

This canvas is extremely well executed with great finesse, great precision in details, lively and luminous colors, very classic and realistic composition typical of the 19th century, probably around 1850.

Note some micro-perforations and wear on the periphery due to an Former frame with dimensions different from the current one.
