Here is a nice old RP RPPC Real Photo Post Card for your collection!

This card comes from a 40 year collection of fine postcards including RP's. Hold To Lights, Halloween postcards, Expositions and some amazing NY State view cards! Check out the others in my eBay store and stop back often for new listings!

This postcard shows a sharp image of the remains of a disastrous fire in Upstate NY! Not much remains in view as the people look through the ruins of a smoldering hotel. A man works on the telegraph or telephone wires up on a ladder to the left. A pot belly stove sits where the hotel used to stand. The card front is printed and reads Williamson Fire July 4, 1910.

The town of Williamson (Sodus NY area) was celebrating the 4th of July festivities when this fire broke out and destroyed the Williamson Hotel. It seems that the town well was pumped dry and the water used to water the streets to keep the dust down for the day. Firemen had a hard time fighting the fire without the available water supply.

The card back is stamped The Stacy Studios, Sodus And Sodus Point NY. The card back is divided and not postmarked. Condition is very good as shown. Guaranteed vintage and original. The watermark is not on the postcard you are buying here.

All of our cards are shipped safely inside a rigid postcard mailer.
